The Council meets every month, except August, and its Annual Meeting is held in May. Additional meetings are convened as and when required, including sub committees. The Council meets in the Cwmllynfell Millennium Hall normally on the 3rd Thursday of the month throughout the year, except for the months of March, May, July and October. During these months the Council meets at Rhiwfawr Community Hall on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Most meetings start at 6.30pm.
Unless they are excluded by resolution for valid legal reasons, the public and press are welcome to attend but not to speak at these meetings. Issues can also be raised by Members on behalf of individual members of the public, at any meeting of Council if the agenda allows.
This is a schedule of the forthcoming meetings of Council and its Committees. Each of the meetings takes place at one of the following locations -
- Cwmllynfell Millennium Hall, Gwilym Road, Cwmllynfell
- Rhiwfawr Community Hall, Gorsto Road, Rhiwfawr
The calendar also shows dates of PACT (Partnerships and Communities Together) meetings. The meetings are open and provide an opportunity for local people to meet their police representative, to discuss community issues, and to help in prioritising police actions. The meetings are held in Cwmllynfell Millennium Hall. It is NOT a surgery to discuss individual issues or concerns. For more information about PACT click here.
